America Explained
Two donkeys meet at a crossroads.
The first donkey is carrying nothing but a couple of feather pillows.
The second donkey is loaded down with so many sacks and tools and bundles of wood that his poor donkey back is bent double and he can barely walk.
The first donkey says, “That’s quite a load you’re carrying there.”
The second donkey looks at him quizzically and says, “What load?”
America is the second donkey. We’ve been loaded down with health care costs, and low wages, and dead end jobs, and CEOs who make 250 times what we make, and a government that would rather spend money on missiles than medicine, and we’ve carried the load for so long that we don’t know there’s another option.
Hey America. You’re not donkeys, and you’re not stupid. Stop voting for more weight.
