i need to credit this idea to jonah ray’s friend (at least i think it was him)… he is scanning all of his old concert tickets in and posting one a day… i have this great collection of old school indie rock live show flyers… shows i went to back in the day… and thought i’d do the same… enjoy…
first up… the archers of loaf. my absolute favorite band to see play live. they would come thru iowa city on a pretty regular basis. to me… this is the ‘cover band’ of ‘indie rock’. i just love this band. was lucky enough to catch them twice on their recent comeback tour(s)… as of right now… they don’t have any more shows booked… i hope this means they might be working on a new record (hey… it happened w/ dinosaur and polvo)…

I grew up in Iowa City and I saw shows at Gabe’s and I also have flyers like this, mostly for Bottledog. I wish I knew what THEY were up to.
