Here’s how thoroughly I bought into Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s performance in “Looper”: when this shot happened, with the two of them facing each other in profile, for a split second I genuinely thought “Wow, that is a really good split-screen effect”.
Even though they didn’t use one.
Because it’s two different actors.
So either JGL does a great job, or I’m a dumbass.
